Deep Dives Package Trip

EXPLORE THE DIVERSE DEPTHS OF OAXACA.

ONE PRICE. FIVE DAYS. COUNTLESS MEMORIES.

Our small group package trips offers 6-10 guests a professionally curated five-day itinerary of cultural tours connecting you with the extraordinary people, places and processes behind the cultures which makes Oaxaca so singular and enthralling. You will sip mezcal in Oaxaca’s wildlands alongside its producers, step into two centuries of living history with a family of handwoven rug makers and enjoy the region’s profound culinary culture from roadside eateries and leafy garden patios to downtown dining rooms.

  • Food:

We will delve into Oaxaca’s culinary wonderland from street food in its historico centro to open air lunches in its countryside. Our quest for the next bite will have us pulling up plastic stools at curbside taco stands, squeezing into busy food markets and kicking back in cozy homestyle restaurants. There will be corn masa tortillas sizzling on the comal, steaming handmade tamales and complex moles whose flavors have no end.

  • Mezcal:

The mezcal community wraps around the globe, from agave cocktails bars in Tokyo to cozy mezcalerias in San Francisco, but its anchor will always be in Oaxaca - at the palenques sprinkled across its wildlands. We will visit mezcaleros at their distilleries, to witness the ongoing lineage of their family traditions, taste some of the region’s finest mezcals and experience a most memorable day in the heart of the mezcal world.

  • Culture:

Many regions across Oaxaca are renowned for the unique crafts which define their communities. Handwoven tapetes in Teotitlan de Valle, red clay pottery of Tlapazola, alebrije sculptures from Tilcajete, mezcaleros across the Valle Central. On our personalized tours, it will be our honor to share time with master artisans and learn how their magnificent work is woven into the fabric of their culture.

This five-day package price includes boutique hotel lodging and private transportation for the entire visit, two private airport transfers, welcome dinner and cocktails, all expenses on our two full day tours, food costs on our walking city tour and a fabulous farewell meal.
