Our inspiration with Almas Viejas is to humbly share Oaxaca in respectful and ethical ways to create meaningful moments of genuine human connection and cultural interaction with those who are preserving, perpetuating, and redefining Oaxacan culture. We feel that visiting local families and artisans in their homes is an honor and a precious opportunity to learn about the culture directly from the people who embody the communities and represent Oaxaca’s living history.
